Over a full week from the 8th to 12th March, a group of intrepid staff and pupils from Kenton School scaled to great heights at the Newburn Activity Centre in a Sponsored Climb in support of MND.
Showing no fear, the climbers managed a staggering 5,000 metres: that's 13 ascents of the Empire State Building + an Angel of the North. Or if you prefer, the just over the height of Mont Blanc. A fantastic achievement for everyone involved.
This event raised
£ 1 , 800.00
for our Motor Neurone Disease fund
A big thank you to everyone that turned out to climb, I think
it's fair to say that everyone felt a sense of achievement and had a lot
of fun
